What if I need to change my reservation?

If you are submitting your ISU Approval Number (Flight Authorization Code) to confirm your flights, please go to “Update a Reservation” on the Home Page. For all other changes please e-mail 2010airres@yvr.ca

If I am an IATA scheduled carrier do I need to go through the reservation system?

No. You will need to request any changes to your schedule as usually done. An additional capacity check will be made with the ARO by our YVR IATA Scheduler. As of September 15th, 2009 you will be subject to the same constraints of those making an airport reservation.

What do I do if I require services at the portal airport?

You must get in touch with the FBO’s at the portal airport you are scheduled to attend. See website addresses under “Links”

If I have a reserved slot time into YVR do I still need ISU approval?

Yes.

If I have an approved ISU number do I still need to make an airport reservation?

Yes.

Do I need to clear Canada Customs on arrival?

If originating from a US or International city you will be subject to CBSA clearance at your first point of entry into Canada.

What if I need de-icing services in YVR?

YVR will accommodate all aircraft deicing services. Contact your FBO for further details.

What if delayed at the portal/ gateway and am going to miss my arrival slot into YVR/ZBB?

It is understood that day of operations may impact schedules. If you anticipate being more than 30 minutes delayed please contact your FBO or ARO to advise. All efforts will be made to accommodate you on the day of your reservation.

How do I cancel my reservation?

Please submit all cancellations via e-mail at 2010airres@yvr.ca. Be sure to reference your Reservation ID when submitting a cancellation

How long will you hold a tentative reservation?

As of January 14th, 2010 If you have received a reservation number for your flight from the Airport Reservation Office, you can consider your itinerary confirmed.

If my final destination is YXX do I require an ISU approval number?

No. YXX does not fall within the boundaries of the Vancouver 2010 Control Area.

If my final destination is YXX do I require a stop at a portal airport?

No. YXX does not fall within the boundaries of the Vancouver 2010 Control Area, therefore the security requirements in place for YVR and ZBB do not apply.

If my final destination is YXX do I need an Airport Reservation?

Yes. Although security requirements do not apply to YXX as a destination airport, the ARO is keeping track of aircraft movements in order to avoid airspace congestion.
